“We enjoyed a private dinner with Chef Filipe at our home and, for the first time in our life, we really felt like a King and Queen...in fact, it was an unforgettable experience. He cooked "Bacalhau á Bras" and "Pasteis de Nata" for us which are local typical dishes from his origin, as we were curious to try something very linked to his culture. The parfumes of Portugal could be felt on our table & just closing our eyes we imagined sounds of the high waves in Nazaré, the actual birthplace of Chef Filipe. Now that we are back in our routine, 2 weeks past the holidays, we would like to send our appreciation note to you. Looking back at our holiday, we were very happy during our stay in the Chalet, where you and Erica took care of us very well. The menu that you made for the chalet was thoughtfully planned, where you thought of using the seasonal and local ingredients for the period. With each ingredient, you thought of how to best combine them in a dish and on pairing the appetizer, entree and dessert every night. We really appreciate it! Each dinner was very delicious, healthy, hearty, and we enjoyed it so much. It's like dining out at restaurants every night! For breakfast, you also try to accommodate to our morning breakfast habits and preferences, and whipped out yummy eggs of our choices (all 18 of us!) perfectly. Other than the food and cooking quality, we were also very happy with how friendly and kind you are. It was truly pleasant to have you together with us during our holiday.
Erica worked so hard to take care of all of us, and we were indeed were very well taken care of. We appreciate how friendly she is, and how easy it is to communicate and discuss things when we have some questions or needs. Erica was very open minded and patient, we felt we could easily ask something or discuss things and she would direct and help us problem solve with all the options we could have.
